The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences was formed on 1 July 2024, bringing together the Arts’ 62-year and the Social Sciences’ 53-year legacies at HKBU. Across four Academies we lead the arts and social sciences disciplines in cultivating a vibrant, diverse milieu — one that fosters transdisciplinary research and, in our students, both creativity and empathy.
As a major Faculty of the University, we pledge to advance HKBU’s overarching vision of innovation and collaboration. By transcending traditional academic boundaries we promote transdisciplinary education and research, offering our students diverse perspectives and building the critical thinking and innovative capacity they need to navigate today’s grand global challenges.
