Apply to the Faculty, choose your Programme in Year 1

All undergraduate applicants enter through one broad-based JS code. In Year 1 you take introductory courses across the four Academies, then declare a Programme for Years 2 to 4.

One year full-time, or two years alongside work

Fifteen taught master’s programmes and two professional doctorates, taught in the evening and at weekends where the cohort is working. Applications are considered on a rolling basis until the programme is full.

ENTRY Bachelor’s degree, second class or equivalent
LANGUAGE IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 79, waived for English-taught degrees

A supervisor first, then an application

Write to a potential supervisor with a two-page proposal before you submit. Full-time research students receive a monthly studentship and join their Department’s research seminar from the first semester.

MPHIL 2 years full-time, thesis up to 60,000 words
PHD 3 years with a research master’s, 4 from a bachelor’s
STUDENTSHIP HK$18,600 monthly, plus conference allowance
